専門ブランドBAREN誕生STORY

私が株式会社MAYKを創業するきっかけは、子宮頸がんをわずらったことでした。

術後、抗がん剤治療の副作用で髪を失うということで「家族に今以上に心配をかけたくない」と、医療用ウィッグや、医療用ケア帽子を買い集めました。

しかし、用意したウィッグは、高級品であっても不自然な感じがして、周囲にバレないかと落ち着かないものでした。
さらに、蒸れて汗だくになり、強い締め付けで頭痛も頻発。
結局かぶらなくなりました。

ケア帽子は、いかにも病人です〜みたいな雰囲気が出て、オシャレとは言い難いものがほとんど。
かぶるたび、気持ちが落ち込んでいったのを覚えています。

そんなとき、入院先で雑談していた看護師さんから、「同じ理由で悩んでいる患者さんがたくさんいる」と教えていただいたのです。
この言葉が、ひとつの転機となりました。

Birth story of the specialized brand BAREN

The reason I founded MAYK Co., Ltd. was because I was diagnosed with cervical cancer. After surgery, I lost my hair as a side effect of chemotherapy, so I bought a collection of medical wigs and medical care caps because I didn't want to cause my family any more worry than I already did. However, even though the wigs I prepared were high-quality, they felt unnatural and I was worried that people around me would notice. In addition, they were stuffy and made me sweaty, and the tight fit caused frequent headaches. In the end, I stopped wearing them. Most care caps give off an air of being a sick person, and are not very fashionable. I remember feeling depressed every time I wore one. Then, while chatting with a nurse at the hospital, she told me that there were many patients who were suffering for the same reason. These words became a turning point for me. BAREN's Commitment
